Tentoonstelling Baghdad Calling/Why Mister, Why? - Artur Eranosian

The FotoMuseum is a dynamic part of the city of Antwerp’s vibrant artistic and cultural web. It houses an impressive collection of prints, cameras and photographic objects, and displays a variety of works by national and international photographers throughout the year. Organized thematically, the changing collections presentations and exhibitions demonstrate a desire to present photography as it is now – as well as what it has been – and the many possibilites it offers.

Workshops, lectures, guided tours and various other activities designed for both old and young invite productive interaction rather than a purely historiological engagement with the medium.
The FotoMuseum’s magazine EXTRA further embodies the museum’s approach. This magazine, first published in Summer 2008, is a sourcebook of sorts, and reveals the diversity of photography in a unique way. The space is devoted to the presentation of photographs, the ideas and stories behind their creation, interviews, reviews, critical essays, and more.
